Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the Sembeza Predictor application or website ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda and applicable international regulations. Sembeza Predictor is operated by Sembeza Africa.

To use Sembeza Predictor you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• Not be prohibited from using prediction/competition apps under the laws of your country of residence.
• Provide accurate and truthful account information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

Each match prediction requires a €1 entry fee, processed securely via Stripe. Subscribers on a monthly plan may submit predictions for all World Cup matches without per-match fees.

All entry fees are non-refundable once a prediction has been submitted and payment confirmed. In the event of a match cancellation or postponement, we will review affected predictions on a case-by-case basis.

Points are awarded automatically by our system when a match reaches full time:

• 3 points — exact correct score (e.g. predicting 2–1 and the result is 2–1).
• 1 point — correct result (correct winner or draw, but wrong exact score).
• 0 points — incorrect result.

A portion of all entry fees forms the tournament prize pool. The platform retains a fee (default 20%) to cover operational costs. The remaining pool is distributed among the top-ranked players at the end of the tournament.

Prize distribution is based on final leaderboard rankings. Tiebreakers are applied in the following order: total points, exact scores, total predictions, earliest account creation date.

Cash prizes are subject to a redemption and processing period. We reserve the right to withhold payouts pending identity verification or investigation of suspected fraud.

You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to submit predictions or manipulate scores.
• Create multiple accounts to gain unfair advantage.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the Service.
• Submit false information or impersonate another person.
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.

Monthly subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from within the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until that date.

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods already billed.

All content, design, trademarks, and software in the Service are the property of Sembeza Africa or licensed to us. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without express written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sembeza Africa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruptions.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of significant changes. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
